◆ Low accuracy due to large colonies

There might be possibly existing beneath the large colonies on the surface of pour plating medium, however it is hard to count such small colonies.

Solution

The CFU is calculated from the part that can be accurately counted.

Reason

The area of large expanded colonies could be excluded by its size. The colony number and CFU can be accurately converted into the values in the entire measurement area.
